5 Natural Living Tips for Busy Bees

Updated: Sep 19

The switch from mainstream to natural living can be daunting. I totally get it, I’ve been there! It’s important to start small and remember that this is not an “all or nothing” situation!

I continue to do my research and make small changes to improve my lifestyle. The same changes that I made may not be what works best for you or your family, and that is okay! These natural living tips are purely what I found to be the easiest swaps when I was first starting to find my way in the natural living community.

🌱 Swap out your cleaning products!

This was the easiest change for me to make. An all-purpose cleaning spray is easy to make. I started with making a vinegar-based cleaning spray but quickly learned how much my husband hates the smell of vinegar. So now I use this non-toxic concentrate, and he actually loves it too!

Another easy cleaning swap I made was laundry detergent. Laundry detergent was the first Earthley product I ever tried, and I fell in love with it. It’s safe for babies and pets, and no one in my house has ever had a reaction to it. The Spring Blossoms scent is actually my top selling product!

🌱 Proper hydration!

I think in 2024 it’s safe to say that just about everyone carries a water bottle with them. If you’re not, you should. The rule of thumb is to drink half your body weight in ounces per day; however, just plain water isn’t enough to actually hydrate your body. You need electrolytes! And no, I don’t mean by drinking dye-filled Pedialyte or sugary Gatorade. A natural way to add electrolytes to your water is with a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt. (I promise just a small pinch is not enough to make your water taste salty.)

🌱 Stop using synthetic fragrances!

Yes, this means all those Bath & Body Works candles and lotions can go right in the garbage. Synthetic fragrances have been proven to disrupt hormones and cause cancer. Instead, you can use an oil diffuser for your home or apply essential oils (EOs) to your wrist for a perfume. Always be sure to use a carrier oil to dilute EOs before applying them to the skin. These pre-blended rollerball perfumes are perfect to throw in your purse without taking up too much space!

🌱 Put your tinctures in your drink!

Do you often forget to take your daily tinctures because your always on the go? Simply add them to your water, coffee, smoothie, or tea. Depending on the tincture or the amount, it may alter the taste slightly (especially in water). However, it’s better than carrying 5-6 bottles in your purse like I would have to.

🌱 Buy some colloidal silver!

This blog was inspired by busy lifestyles, so I’m guessing you don’t have time to be sick. Colloidal silver is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory. This is officially my go-to tool for infections. You can take it straight (just tastes like water), add it to a drink, apply it topically, or add it to your nebulizer for respiratory illnesses!
