Mabon

The Autumn Equinox is also known to be called the second harvest, or Mabon, also the name of a Welsh god, meaning "Son of the Mother." It is a time of balance and gratitude, counting our blessings that have already come to fruition and discerning what work is left to do before winter.

Mabon Correspondences

Colors: red, orange, gold, dark greens, browns

Flora: bay, sage, mugwort, rosemary, acorns, hyssop, cinnamon, safflower, thyme, rose hips, rue, marigold, saffron, oak moss, clove, vetiver

Fauna: coyote, owl, squirrel, wolf, stag, blackbird, goose

Stones: citrine, carnelian, tiger’s eye, topaz, moss agate, gold sheen obsidian, amber, garnet, peridot

Autumn Equinox Essential Oil Blend

  • Juniper - 12 drops

  • Myrrh - 5 drops

  • Rose - 10 drops


This blend uses oils with metaphysical properties that are known to be purifying and protective. It is a beautiful blend for the energies of the season as we are preparing for the dark, winter months.
